Security Guard Manager

SELECTION CRITERIA

1. High level of interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in both English and Lao. Note: Short listed applicants will be tested for English skills.

2. Ability to interpret security instructions, regulations and guidelines and to act on and provide advice in accordance with the appropriate security instructions.

3. Ability to manage a small team of security guards, including training guards and mentoring. Ability to act independently and as a member of a small team, including an ability to set priorities and take appropriate action. Ability to undertake new tasks quickly, be flexible and respond effectively to challenges and meet deadlines.

4. Basic level of computer literacy particularly in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.

5. Knowledge of and experience with international standards of security practices and procedures. Relevant tertiary qualifications desirable.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be able to work as a locally engaged staff member at a diplomatic mission in Laos, possess a valid passport or be able to obtain a valid passport. Applicant should have a valid drivers vehicle licence and be willing to travel within Laos and regionally as required.
