Call for Expressions of Interest: Technical Specialists
The Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) manages the Australian Government’s development assistance program in the Lao PDR. AusAID Vientiane is inviting Mekong based consultants to submit an expression of interest for short term consultancy opportunities providing advice on the following cross-cutting issues for AusAID’s programs:
▪ Gender Equality
▪ Monitoring and Evaluation
Consultancy services may include participation in program review missions, desk reviews of program documentation, delivering training and reporting on various elements of the AusAID development cooperation program. Successful applicants will be placed on an eligibility list for two years and may be called upon to provide short term consultancy services during that time.
The Technical Specialists should have at least five years experience providing sector based advice for development programs, preferably in the Lao PDR and/or Southeast Asia, and have excellent English language writing skills.
AusAID’s key sectors of engagement in the Lao PDR are education, rural development (including infrastructure and UXO), trade and investment and natural resource management. Preferably eligible specialists will have experience in these sectors. Information on AusAID programs is available at: http://www.ausaid.gov.au
Applications should consist of your resume (no more than five pages) and a two page cover letter detailing your experience in either gender equality or monitoring and evaluation. You should include your expected daily rate and the details of two professional referees. Shortlisted applicants will be asked to submit an example of their recent written work, and will be interviewed by a selection panel.
