ຂໍຮຽນ ທ່ານສົມມາດ ພົນເສນາ, ລັດຖະມົນຕີ ວ່າການກະຊວງຊັບພະຍາກອນ ທຳມະຊາດ ແລະ ສິ່ງແວດລ້ອມ;
ຮຽນ ທ່ານ ນາງ ຄຳເພົາ ເອີນທະວັນ, ລັດຖະມົນຕີຊ່ວຍ ວ່າການກະຊວງການຕ່າງປະເທດ;

2015 ແມ່ນປີ ສຳຄັນຂອງ ສປປ ລາວ, ແລະ ສາຍພົວພັນ ລາວ - ອົດສະຕຣາລີ. ປີ 2016 ສຳຄັນຍິ່ງກວ່າ.
2015 was a big year for the Lao PDR, and for Lao-Australia relations. 2016 promises to be even bigger.
ປີໜ້າ, 2017, ຍິ່ງເປັນປີ ທີ່ສຳຄັນ, ຍ້ອນອົດສະຕຣາລີ ແລະ ສປປ ລາວ ຈະສະເຫຼີມສະຫຼອງ ສາຍພົວພັນ ຄົບຮອບ 65 ປີ.
And next year, in 2017, yet another milestone, as Australia and the Lao PDR celebrate our 65th anniversary of bilateral relations.
ອົດສະຕຣາລີ ໃນຖານະ ເປັນຄູ່ຮ່ວມເຈລະຈາ ປະເທດທຳອິດ ຂອງ ASEAN, ທັງເປັນປະເທດເພື່ອນມິດ ແລະ ເພື່ອນບ້ານ ກັບບັນດາປະເທດ ໃນອາຊີຕາເວັນອອກສຽງໃຕ້, ແລະ ຂໍສະແດງຄວາມຍິນດີ ທີ່ ສປປ ລາວ ໄດ້ຮັບກຽດ ເປັນປະທານ ASEAN ອີກຄັ້ງໜື່ງ.
Australia, as ASEAN’s first dialogue partner and a country with extensive links with our friends and neighbours across South-East Asia, is delighted the Lao PDR has again this year assumed the chair of ASEAN.
ປີ 2016 ຈະເປີດໂອກາດສຳຄັນຍິ່ງ ແກ່ ສປປ ລາວ ໃນການສ້າງ ປະຊາຄົມ ASEAN, ເຊິ່ງເປັນປີທຳອິດ ຂອງການຈັດຕັ້ງ ປະຕິບັດ ຕົວຈິງ.
2016 will be an excellent opportunity for the Lao PDR to put its stamp on the emerging ASEAN Community, in this first year of implementation.
ປະເທດອົດສະຕຣາລີ ໃນຖານະເພື່ອນບ້ານ ເຊັ່ນດຽວກັບ ບັນດາປະເທດໃນພາກພື້ນ ໄດ້ຮັບຜົນປະໂຫຍດ ອັນໃຫຍ່ຫຼວງ ຈາກຄວາມຈະເລີນ, ການມີສະຖຽນລະພາບ ແລະ ຄວາມຖືກຕ້ອງ ປອງດອງ ຂອງ ພາກພື້ນ ອາຊີຕາເວັນອອກສຽງໃຕ້, ແລະ ພວມຕັ້ງໜ້າ ຈະຮ່ວມຊົມເຊີຍ ຜົນງານ ແລະ ຄວາມສຳເລັດ ທີ່ ປະຊາຄົມ ASEAN ຈະໄດ້ຮັບ ພາຍໃຕ້ ການເປັນປະທານ ຂອງ ສປປ ລາວ.
Australia, which benefits greatly from an increasingly prosperous, stable and cohesive South-East Asia on our doorstep, is looking forward to Laos’ leadership, and the progress Laos can achieve across ASEAN’s diverse agenda.

We are looking forward also to visits to the Lao PDR this year by Australia’s Prime Minister, and our Foreign and Trade Ministers.

This year, our national day reception is themed around perceptions of Australia.
ເພື່ອເຮັດໃຫ້ແນວຄວາມຄິດນີ້ ແຈ້ງຂື້ນຕື່ມ, ຂ້າພະເຈົ້າ ຂໍເຊີນບັນດາທ່ານ ຊົມຜົນງານດ້ານ ສີນລະປະ ທີ່ອະທິບາຍກ່ຽວກັບ ຄຳຂວັນນີ້ ຈາກ ນັກຮຽນໂຮງຮຽນ ສີນລະປະ ປະມານ 30 ອັນ ທີ່ວາງສະແດງ ແລະ ໄດ້ມີການຄັດເລືອກ.
To help us, we are delighted to feature around 30 works of art – impressions of Australia from local Lao artists who have entered our Australia Day competition.

We are a fortunate country, Australia. As a unique, multicultural democracy, closely integrated with an increasingly dynamic Asia-Pacific region.

I am delighted to see how well these young Lao artists have captured some of Australia’s qualities, through their works.

I would encourage you to take a closer look at these works of art, and talk to each of the talented artists who produced them.

On my left, standing in front of their art works, are our three winning artists, who will each receive gift vouchers for art supplies.

Third prize, on the far left, is Ms Sonekhoun, whose work is titled “Cultural Exchange”

Second prize, in the centre, is Mr Konglee, whose work is titled “Laos-Australia Relations”

And our major prize winner, on the right closest to me, is Mr Vansouk, whose work is titled “Lao-Australian lifestyles”

These young men are helping raise awareness of the problem of violence against women, and how we can all, men and women, help address the problem in our communities.
